“Ceramic” – Pots and other articles made from clay hardened by heat

Ceramic Restoration has been my life for the past 10 years and many of the pieces that come into my studio have been inherited from previous generations and some of the items have enormous emotional or commercial value to the collectors.

I have quite a group of collectors who truly value the quality of my work and regularly entrust me to restore their pieces to their former glory! Ceramic Restoration is something that I take seriously and I am meticulous in terms of reproducing the damaged areas of pieces which I receive. Ceramic Restoration is a painstaking job, it is time consuming and if done properly you will not notice the difference to the original.

Porcelain doll repair has been something closest to my heart. It is one of my most favourite items to restore, which also involves an immense amount of time. Some of the old dolls I have restored have included replacing sections of lace and repairing limbs which were originally cast from fibrous substances

Although the bulk of my work involves Porcelain Restoration, I not only repair Ceramic Antiques. My work also involves Marble Restoration and Ceramic Restoration, I also have managed to restore other articles which resemble porcelain at a glance. I have also restored items cast and fashioned from more porous materials such as terracotta and gypsum. Each article is a challenge and one that I enjoy each and every day!
